"Life is a movie running through the theatre of the world. When the reel flickers to the end, so does life. Through the lens darkly like Alice in Wonderland is how I perceive and live life." - Anjoo Khosla

While vacationing in Mumbai, India she produced 'Wahid’s Mobile Bookstore' after a chance encounter with the title character at a busy Mumbai intersection. She is currently working with Director Alan Baiss in the production of a feature documentary 'Evolution of Integral Consciousness and Planetary Transformation in the 21st Century'.
Her next project currently in development is a feature documentary on modern Indian art 'The Sun Rises in the East'. This inspired her to merge her two passions, art and film, to create a new documentary on Contemporary Indian Art. It chronicles the history of Modern Indian Art beginning from Indias independence in the 1940s. It will profile established & emerging Indian artists, their challenges, inspirations, struggles to create art amidst the constantly evolving economic, social and political landscape of the country. The Sun Rises in the East
Contemporary Indian art can look like an intricate and complex tapestry that is hard to chronicle. Connoisseurs and new buyers worldwide are struggling to understand the intricacies and relationships between the many artists with Indian origins. ‘"The Sun Rises in the East’" is a feature documentary celebrating India’s arrival on the center stage of international art today.
At the dawn of India’s Independence, innovative forms of art were born, growing into the mighty body of work that was art in Modern India. In the face of the 20th century official British perspective that India had no relevant living art, artists rebelled and created their own individualistic styles of art. From the 1940’s to the present, the rich and vibrant art scene of post-colonial India has not received the analysis it deserves. The real history of Modernism hasn’t been written yet. Today it is all about Europe and New York. Tomorrow’s history will be about Modernism as a whole. It is time to share the riveting story of Modern Indian Art and its artists.

DOCUMENTARY SHORT
Director/Producer
Among the traffic, smog, blaring horns and careening commuters that crowd the intersections of Mumbai, India is Wahid, a 9-year old mobile bookseller. While he does not read English, he deftly weaves in and around the cars selling international best sellers, haggling over the price and recommending books to patrons sitting in their air-conditioned cars. Its a dangerous paper route, but it provides his family of six with the extra income they need to survive in their one-room slum.
Meanwhile, Wahid dreams of becoming a doctor and supports his family by peddling his stack of Best-Sellers through his Mobile Bookstore.

DOCUMENTARY
Producer/Director
This documentary is about domestic violence in the South Asian Community of Silicon Valley. It deals with the issues and unique characteristics of this subject as well as the myths and stereotypes surrounding this issue. It focuses on the plight of S. Asian women caught in this situation in the US (particularly Silicon Valley) where they are without family or any other recourse and the problems they face in getting help.
I have made extensive use of artworks such as paintings, sculpture and poetry narration as creative metaphors for the violence shown in the documentary and also to keep the viewer engaged. I have focused on one particular Domestic Violence Agency in South Bay called "Maitri" with whom I worked extensively in making the documentary.
